Max Verstappen has been hit with a further sanction by Austrian Grand Prix stewards for the collision with Lando Norris

For the Lap 64 contact that put Norris out of the race and demoted Verstappen to fifth after punctures, the stewards handed the world champion a 10-second time penalty.

Max Verstappen deflected blame after coming together with Lando Norris late on at the Austrian Grand Prix, labelling the 10-second time penalty decision as “ridiculous”.

Verstappen was defending from Norris in the latter stages before contact between the duo was made at Turn 3.

Verstappen slapped with penalty for Norris Austrian GP collision

Max Verstappen has been handed a 10 second time penalty for the late collision with Lando Norris 

Verstappen did look set for a comfortable win at the Red Bull Ring, but a slow final pit-stop on Lap 52 allowed Norris to close to within two seconds of the leader.

McLaren launches attack on Verstappen's record after Norris contact

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has attacked Max Verstappen's record after the late collision between the Red Bull and Lando Norris.

For much of the Spielberg race, Verstappen looked set for a comfortable victory, but a slow pit-stop on Lap 52 for the world champion allowed for Norris to begin a late charge for the win.

Verstappen to talk with Norris after 'divebombs' and crash

Max Verstappen has stated he will seek talks with Lando Norris following their contact at the Austrian Grand Prix.

The pair clashed on lap 64 of the race while battling for the lead, resulting in terminal damage for Norris.

Norris: Verstappen 'reckless, desperate and aggressive'

Lando Norris has accused Max Verstappen of being "reckless", "desperate" and "aggressive" following their collision during the Austrian Grand Prix.

The McLaren and Red Bull drivers were involved in a heated duel for several laps after Verstappen saw his seven-second lead wiped out by a slow second stop at the end of lap 51.
