Liam Lawson is hoping his Racing Bulls team can flip its performance in Qatar around following the "hardest" challenge in 2024.
Last season, Lawson qualified 10th for the Sprint, before dropping to 16th in the shorter race, following that up with 17th on the grid for the grand prix, translating into a 14th place finish, whilst then team-mate Yuki Tsunoda, also failed to crack the top 10.
A year on, Racing Bulls is looking to cement its sixth place in the constructors' championship - with the team currently 18 points clear of Haas in seventh.
Lawson himself is hoping that, as the team now has a greater understanding of its car, a points result is in the offering.
"We've had a lot of races we expected to either be quick at and not be quick or we've had a tough race last year," Lawson began to tell media, including RacingNews365.
"For us, Qatar was probably one of the hardest, so I'm hoping that means, for whatever reason, we're good this year, but it is very hard to know.
"It is a very different track from Vegas, but we're in a much better place now with the car than we were last year.
"We have a better understanding, but obviously, it being a Sprint, it is going to be a challenge for sure, but hopefully, we can have a good weekend."
