Kyle Larson's chances of doing Double Duty are in jeopardy following rain delaying the start of the Indianapolis 500.

NASCAR champion Larson is once again attempting to drive in the Indy 500 and then get to Charlotte for NASCAR's Coke 600 later today, and must be in attendance for driver introductions at 17:25pm local time in Charlotte.

That means the delay to the Indy 500 for light, persistent rain could scupper his chances of competing all 1,100 miles on the same day.

As of 13:00 local time, cars are still formed on the grid, with Larson 21st on the grid.

Even if the race does start, Larson could be pulled from the 500 to make it to Charlotte in time, with Indy 500 winner and Tony Kanaan set to be his relief driver.
