Haas boss Ayao Komatsu believes its new multi-million dollar motorhome "sends a clear message" of intent from owner Gene Haas.

As teams again bring their motorhomes to circuits, with the European leg of the season kicking off at Imola this weekend, Haas has deployed its new design, with RacingNews365 believing the cost for the structure to be around the €6 million mark.

It has been designed by Schuler, a specialist in motorhome design, with clients also including Alpine and Aston Martin.

Owner Haas' intentions have been questioned at times during the team's decade on the F1 grid, but Komatsu believes the new design quashes any doubts about the American's support.

"This is our 10th year, and you can see Gene's commitment and investment," Komatsu told media, including RacingNews365.

"Everything we need to do needs to be consistent, both internally and externally, in how we do things, and this is part of it. It just sends a clear message of Gene's and the team's intent.

"It is big, not just in practical terms, but of the message you are sending to people, internally as well as externally.

"For instance, our previous motor home, if we had some major sponsor event, we had to tell our guys, who work really hard, not to come to the motor home, so they were stuck in the garage and unable to sit down properly.

"That is not a nice way to look after your staff who work hard to put the show on, to put performance on the car, but also for staff retention and attracting new, talented people, which is very tough.

"Competition is very high because there are so many different teams in the UK, so competition is tough, but also for commercial sponsorship, so everything matters."
