Alex Albon has demanded a review of Williams' qualifying strategy at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after failing to make the top 10 shootout.
For the second consecutive grand prix, Albon was out-qualified by team-mate Carlos Sainz, who made the final part of qualifying and secured sixth on the grid.
Albon, on the other hand, will start from 11th after failing to make the top 10 by just seven-thousandths of a second.
Williams opted to run Albon on a different run plan to Sainz, which saw the 29-year-old complete his final Q2 lap when most drivers were only just leaving the pit lane in the closing minutes.
It resulted in Albon not receiving a much-needed tow, with the driver having compared the Jeddah Corniche Circuit to Monza.
He must now perform at least one overtake to score a point in the race, something he believes should be a minimum for the Grove-based team.
"We'll review it. I think the timing of our Q2 run was questionable," Albon told select media including RacingNews365. I think we went out when no one else did.
"This track's like Monza, you need the circulation. If cars run in laps, out laps, doesn't really matter, there's a circulation on the track. It pulls you around quite nicely, especially in sector two, sector three.
"I think I was slowest in sector three on my last lap in Q2 because we didn't have a tow. So, yeah, we need to review that, because we didn't really need to... maybe too confident in our own pace to get into Q3.
"I don't know, so frustrating, because that's obviously two weekends in a row where it feels like we should be in the points. We should be in the top 10. Q3 is quite comfortable, but we've missed it for whatever reason."
