George Russell has gained the support from F1 fans to be issued a contract extension by the Mercedes team.
Russell is on an expiring deal and is out of contract at the end of the 2025 season.
Rumours of a potential switch to Mercedes for Max Verstappen sprouted suggestions that Russell is in danger of losing his seat to the four-time champion ahead of next year's campaign.
However, team boss Toto Wolff has hinted he is keen to retain the current line-up of Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli into 2026.
Russell has enjoyed a strong start to the current season, scoring three podiums in the opening five rounds to lift himself to third in the drivers' championship.
RacingNews365 asked you, the fans, if Russell was deserving of a drive at Mercedes next year.
65 per cent of respondents believe Russell should be handed a contract extension offer. Of that group, almost 24 per cent think he should be handed a new deal even if Max Verstappen is up for grabs.
