Max Verstappen roared to victory under the neon lights at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, beating Lando Norris by 20 seconds after 50 laps of storming down The Strip and a late issue for the McLaren driver.
George Russell rounded out the podium places, with his team-mate Kimi Antonelli crossing the line in fourth.
However, a five-second time penalty for a false start dropped the young Italian down to fifth, with Oscar Piastri promoted.
Having started from pole position, Norris lost the lead to Verstappen at the first corner, having run wide. He dropped behind Russell, too, but managed to make his way back past the Mercedes.
The Red Bull driver kept his fading F1 drivers' title hopes alive by outscoring the championship leader, but faces a tough test in the next round, in Qatar.
Lewis Hamilton, having started last on the grid, carved his way through the order, ultimately taking the chequered flag in tenth to score a solitary point.
Here is how Norris can win the 2025 title in Qatar.
