Oscar Piastri was fastest during the second free practice session at Imola, ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver set a lap time of 1.15.293, +0.025 quicker than team-mate Lando Norris, who was second on the timing board. Pierre Gasly was a surprise third for Alpine.
George Russell and Max Verstappen were fourth and fifth, respectively, at the end of the hour, which was disrupted by a late Isack Hadjar-induced red flag.
The Racing Bulls driver crashed on the outside of Tamburello, specificially Turn 4. Whilst he kept his car running, he beached it in the gravel as he was looking to return to the track.
