After taking his 53rd career victory in Las Vegas, Max Verstappen has cemented himself as joint third all-time list along with fellow Red Bull World Champion Sebastian Vettel.

Only Michael Schumacher (91) and Lewis Hamilton (103) have won more races, but can Verstappen continue his run of form for the rest of his career? Ex-F1 driver Ralf Schumacher believes it is possible.

"Red Bull is under a bit of pressure. The other teams are getting closer. That makes the whole thing exciting. We only have one race left to go: Abu Dhabi, I look forward to that," he wrote in his Sky Sport column.

Schumacher: How long does Newey want to continue?

Although Red Bull faces the prospect of being caught by Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes in the next couple of years, Schumacher believes there is one aspect to the team that is making the difference for them.

Legendary designer Adrian Newey has extended his contract with the team, with him recently expressing his desire to continue as long as possible.

“As for age and talent, absolutely,” Schumacher writes.

“But that depends on two things. Question one is: how long does he want to race?

"The other question is: does he always have such a good car? I think next year. Max [Verstappen] has to take good care of Adrian Newey. As long as he does, they can continue this [winning]."
