Logan Sargeant has received the next opportunity of his motorsport career, only a few weeks after he was let go by Williams after the Dutch Grand Prix.

It was a tough call for team principal James Vowles to fire an academy graduate, but it is a decision that is already paying dividends for the Grove-based squad.

Franco Colapinto has immediately impressed, scoring points four points on his second outing in F1 and proving a considerably closer match for Alexander Albon so far.

However, the driver he replaced is working towards a new home in motorsport.

The American has returned stateside and has been handed an IndyCar test with Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) in November, at the Thermal Club in California.

The team is using its final evaluation test day of the year to assess the 23-year-old.

MSR does not have a seat vacant for the 2025 IndyCar season, with Marcus Armstrong signed to partner Felix Rosenqvist in its two-car entry, but the move does provide Sargeant the chance to showcase himself for other teams within the IndyCar paddock.
