Logan Sargeant News

Logan Sargeant had a shaky start to the 2023 F1 season with some crashes. However, he scored a point for the team in the Grand Prix of the United States. This was his first point ever in F1. For some time, it wasn't certain if the American would drive again in 2024, but in the meantime, it's confirmed that he will be driving for Williams once again in 2024. Will the American score points once again in the 2024 season?

Logan Sargeant F1

Sargeant is the first American to have a full-time race seat since Scott Speed in 2006, who drove for Toro Rosso, and first American on the grid since Alexander Rossi in 2015.

In 2015 Sargeant won the FIA's premier karting contest, the Karting World Championship, becoming the first American to win a FIA karting championship since Lake Speed in 1978.

From there he moved to junior Formula championships making his debut in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, before switching to British F4 with Carlin. In 2018 he made the full-time switch to Formula Renault Eurocup.
 

Sargeant F3 & F2

He made the switch to F1 support championships F3 achieving third in the championship in 2020, then F2 in 2022 being named rookie of the year for his performance to fourth in the championship.

Logan Sargeant F1 career

After impressing Williams as part of their driver academy, the American was given a number of FP1 outings to get super licence points. He made his debut alongside Alex Albon during the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix.

In 2024, the American drove for Williams until the Dutch Grand Prix, after which he was replaced by the Argentine Formula 2 driver Franco Colapinto.
