Daniel Ricciardo felt AlphaTauri missed out on a key opportunity in the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The team was outside of the top ten for most of the weekend, with Ricciardo's P14 in the race being their highest place.
The Australian puts most of their struggles down to the low track temperatures, which prevented drivers from generating optimum heat into their tyres during the race.
"We've definitely missed something here this weekend, getting the tyre working on the slippery asphalt when it's still cold or a new tyre," Ricciardo told media, including RacingNews365.
"Even with that, I felt okay after a couple laps we got some temperature and then be able to kind of get back on to the pack. I think the restarts didn't help us."

Ricciardo: We weren't one of the top ten cars
AlphaTauri is currently in a battle for seventh in the Constructors' Championship with Williams, with seven points separating them.
Ricciardo takes consolation from the fact that their rivals failed to score points, with everything to play for in the final round at Abu Dhabi.
"Once it settled, there was a few cars fading at the end of the race. We had a little bit more pace than them," said Ricciardo.
"But we still weren't on top of Top 10 cars, so it is unfortunate. I'm going to go glass half full. Our rivals didn't score, so it gives us a little glimmer of hope next week to still have a crack."
