Red Bull has delivered a health update on Yuki Tsunoda, following the driver's horrific barrel roll crash in the opening minutes of qualifying at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
On his first flying lap, the Japanese driver lost control of his car through the Villeneuve chicane and made heavy contact with the barrier.
The size of the impact flipped his RB21 multiple times, with contact having even been made with the catch fencing.
Thankfully, his car finally came to rest in the gravel the right side up, before he quickly clambered out of the destroyed Red Bull.
He was taken immediately to the medical centre after the accident; however, Red Bull has confirmed that he was quickly released.
Red Bull stated on X: "Thankfully, Yuki has been checked and released from the medical centre after undergoing precautionary checks."
Tsunoda was not the only driver to crash in Q1, with Alpine's Franco Colapinto having also caused a red flag stoppage in the closing seconds.
Colapinto went off at Turn 4 and also visited the medical centre; however, he too was released after precautionary checks.
An Alpine statement read: "Following the incident at the end of Q1, Franco was taken to the medical centre for precautionary checks as per the procedure. He is ok, has been checked and cleared to leave."
