Porsche has confirmed that former F1 Academy champion Marta Garcia and Gabriela Jílková will represent the team in next month's all-female Formula E test.

Garcia is a surprise addition to Porsche's line-up, with the Spanish driver having tested for ERT (now known as Kiro Race Co) in Berlin last season.

It was rumoured she would represent the recently acquired team once again in Valencia. The test will take place on November 7 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, with the new Gen3 EVO machinery to be used.

Garcia is part of the iconic Iron Dames set-up, and has been competing in FRECA this year.

“I’m super excited to be part of the Formula E testing for women," said Garcia. "An I’m even happier that I get to be involved in this with the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team.

"They are one of the best teams in the field and I am really looking forward to learning from and with them. I’m incredibly grateful to Porsche and the Iron Dames for this opportunity.

"I can’t wait to drive the 99X Electric – and on my fantastic home track as well.”

Alongside Garcia will be Jílková, Porsche's development and simulator driver who gained on-track experience during pre-season testing ahead of Season 10.

This year, Jílková has been competing in the European GT4 series as well as others. Her appearance for Porsche last year, marked her debut in a single-seater.

“I’m really happy that I get to drive the Porsche 99X Electric again," said Jílková. "It is always an honour to represent the Porsche works team.

"I’m excited to see how the new car performs. It goes without saying that I am also pleased to be part of the first Formula E test sessions specifically for women.”
