Kimi Antonelli has been given a five-second time penalty during the Las Vegas Grand Prix for a false start.

The Mercedes driver has been judged to have moved before the lights went out at the start of the 50-lap race in Sin City.

Having started in P17 on soft tyres, the young Italian is running P11 and will serve his punishment at his second pit stop, having already moved onto the white-walled hard compound.

Replays show minimal movement from the W16, but the 19-year-old allowed the car to "creep ever so slightly" before "letting it go", as confirmed by Anthony Davidson on Sky Sports F1.
