Martin Brundle has led the tributes to "rock-star" Eddie Jordan following his death aged 76.

Jordan's death was announced on Thursday morning by his family after the former F1 team principal was diagnosed with prostate and bladder cancer in 2024.

The Irishman was a successful junior series boss before turning to F1 in the early 1990s, with his team going onto win four F1 races before he sold up in 2005, turning to a career in TV punditry for the BBC and Channel 4.

Reacting to the news, Martin Brundle, the Sky Sports F1 pundit who Jordan ran in the famous 1983 British F3 season against Ayrton Senna, labelled the late team boss as a "rock-star," whilst F1 also paid tribute to Jordan's "inexhaustible" energy.

This page will be updated throughout the day with tributes to Jordan.

Greatly saddened at the passing of Eddie Jordan. Eddie lived life to the full, facing his final days with the same courage and tenacity displayed throughout many years as an entrepreneur, F1 pioneer and TV pundit. There were few like him. My sympathies to his family and friends.
