Szafnauer: Vettel will flourish at Aston Martin

Otmar Szafnauer believes the work culture at Aston Martin will help the German bounce back from his recent dip in form.

A lot has been made about Sebastian Vettel's inability to win a world championship with Ferrari. While some blame the driver, there are several others who blame the culture at Ferrari for the team's recent failures and many expect Vettel to bounce back at Aston Martin, including team principal Otmar Szafnauer. "It's about the respect and the way to stick together," Szafnauer told F1-Insider.com. "We appreciate each individual's talents and don't point the finger at anyone. We encourage our people to learn from mistakes. "We all pull in the same direction and we have a good work atmosphere, a culture in which we don't blame anyone for making a mistake. This also applies to the drivers. Seb will like that and I'm sure he will flourish." The change in the working environment is sure to benefit the four-time world champion, however, whether the team can build on their 2020 form or if the German can repay the faith the team has shown him will be one of the questions posed by what is proving to be a very intriguing season ahead.
