The Suzuka F1 circuit is having changes carried out to the track surface ahead of the 2026 grand prix.
The iconic race track has been the traditional host of the Japanese Grand Prix for some time and is a favourite of the drivers and fans alike.
With its high-speed layout and unpredictable weather, Suzuka has been the setting of many iconic F1 moments in the past.
Next year's Japanese Grand Prix is set to take place on March 29 and form the third round of the season.
However, the 'West Course' of the circuit, which includes the famous 'Spoon Curve', is completely closed due to track resurfacing.
This involves a new layer of asphalt being laid down, which may offer the drivers an initial challenge when they use it in March due to its lack of grip.
However, as more rubber is set on the track surface, the more grip it will provide the drivers.
Max Verstappen will enter next year's Japan race as the reigning winner, having tasted success for the first time in 2025 at Suzuka.
The weekend will also be a celebration for Honda, who has officially returned to the sport as a power unit supplier in partnership with Aston Martin.
