F1 to 'pay tribute' to British teams and drivers in London

F1 will pay "homage" to the British Grand Prix and showcase the best of British motorsport this summer, with F1 Exhibition coming to the London ExCel Centre.

The show has been a success in Madrid, Vienna and Toronto, with the inaugural event in Spain being the countries biggest temporary show of 2023.

In collaboration with the Silverstone Museum, the fourth edition of the show will "pay tribute" to those who have made a lasting impression on British F1 history, according to Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer at F1.

“It’s fitting to bring The F1 Exhibition to the UK capital and pay tribute to the British teams, drivers and personalities who have etched themselves into F1 history," the series' CCO said.

"The F1 Exhibition has been incredibly popular since its launch in Madrid, and successful runs in Vienna and Toronto prove that it is a great way to engage with both hardcore fans and new audiences, whilst extending F1’s reach beyond the racetrack. 

"London is one of the most cultural vibrant cities in the world, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world to the show.”

In extension to casting a light on the impression British teams, drivers and personalities have left on the championship, a number of popular exhibits will return.

Those rooms include Once Upon a Time in Formula 1, which details some of the most iconic moments throughout F1, with previous unseen interviews, photographs and film.

Also on offer is Survival, which allows fans to get up close and personal with the remains of Romain Grosjean's torched Haas chassis from the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, which he was lucky to walk away from.

“It’s been incredible to see how fans around the world have reacted to the exhibition since opening last year. London was always going to be an incredibly special location for us, so I am looking forward to what’s to come," added Timothy Harvey, lead curator and producer of the Formula 1 Exhibition.

"Each show recognises the national heritage of its host location, and as Britain is the home of racing this will be a really special show.
