F1 testing hit by second red flag for another broken drain cover

The second red flag of pre-season testing has occurred in the early stages of the morning session on the final day.

The final day of pre-season testing has been hit by another red flag for the same drain cover that caused a stoppage yesterday.

After just under half an hour, the session was red flagged when a drain cover came loose at Turn 11. Replays appeared to show Sergio Pérez run wide at the corner, before it was dislodged.

A track inspection in currently taking place, with the current time unknown as to when the session will restart.

An hour of the morning session yesterday was lost due to the drain cover being fixed back in place, however this was added on to the afternoon to prevent teams from losing too much time.

Carlos Sainz currently sits atop of the timesheets with a 1:31.247s from Lando Norris and Alex Albon.
