Kimi Antonelli has been voted as the 'new' Max Verstappen as F1 fans made clear who they feel will be the next driver to follow in the footsteps of the four-time F1 champion.
The topic was raised following a Sport Krone interview with former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner, who has now officially taken up the reins at a MotoGP team, as of January 1.
Steiner was asked who he felt possessed the talent to become "the new Max Verstappen", and was given the choice of Isack Hadjar, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Kimi Antonelli. The Austrian also threw current Haas driver, Oliver Bearman, into the mix.
The 60-year-old effectively shied away from a definitive response, though, by stating it was "too early to say", given the quartet had only completed one full season apiece in F1.
But it set RacingNews365 thinking, and we decided to give you the choice by asking who you felt could go on to emulate the astonishing feats of Red Bull driver Verstappen.
Alongside the aforementioned quartet, we also threw Liam Lawson and Franco Colapinto into the mix, although neither particularly fared well.
Instead, it was Mercedes driver Antonelli who emerged as the cream of the crop, capturing almost half of the votes, with 46.11%.
Despite Hadjar's promotion from Racing Bulls to become Verstappen's team-mate at Red Bull this season, the French-Algerian had to settle for second best with only half the support of Antonelli, scoring 23.80%.
Steiner's suggestion of Bearman allowed the British driver to collect 15.90%, whilst Bortoleto had to settle for fourth with 8.35%.
Lawson garnered 5.49%, whilst there was precious little support for Colapinto, who managed a meagre 0.34%.
Thanks, as always, to all those of you who voted.
