Each Formula 1 team has released a joint statement in which they have denied making complaints to the FIA over Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff.

On Tuesday evening, the FIA declared that it had opened an investigation into Wolff amid allegations of confidential information being discussed between himself and his wife Susie.

Susie Wolff is the current managing director of the F1 Academy, an all-female racing category that is run by F1's commercial rights holders.

It is believed that concerns had been raised over a potential conflict of interest between Toto and Susie Wolff with the former being privy to confidential information about Formula One Management (FOM) activities, unavailable to rival team bosses, while Susie Wolff has access to discussions between the team bosses, which could be advantageous to FOM.

Mercedes, F1 and Susie Wolff released a statement denying the allegations shortly after the FIA declared it had opened an investigation.

Almost 24 hours later on Wednesday evening, the Haas, Williams, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, Alpine, AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo teams released coordinated statements denying it was them who informed the FIA.

“We can confirm that we have not made any complaint to the FIA regarding the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed between an F1 Team Principal and a member of FOM staff.

“We are pleased and proud to support F1 Academy and its managing director through our commitment to sponsor an entrant in our liveries from next season.”
