Formula 1 fans remain divided on when Charles Leclerc will finally make a competitive Le Mans 24 Hours appearance, with a new RacingNews365 poll revealing contrasting expectations for the Ferrari driver's endurance racing debut.
The poll shows 33.7% of fans expect Leclerc to compete at La Sarthe in 2027, while 24.6% believe this year could mark his maiden appearance.
A further 16.9% predict 2028, whilst just 7.3% doubt the Monegasque will ever tackle the iconic motorsport event.
Leclerc has been vocal about his Le Mans ambitions, recently stating: "Definitely. Actually, [I'd like to compete in it] quite a few times.
"Now I need to find a way to try and combine Formula 1 and Le Mans, because if I do something, I want to do it to try and win."
The 28-year-old's timeline could hinge on Ferrari's F1 fortunes under the new power unit regulations.
Having characterised 2026 as a "now or never" moment for the Scuderia, Leclerc may prioritise his championship hunt before pursuing endurance racing.
Ferrari's WEC success in 2025, capturing both manufacturers' and drivers' titles, provides the perfect platform.
