Kamui Kobayashi is to return to NASCAR to once again drive for Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing Cup team.

The Japanese racer made his Cup debut at the Indianapolis road course race in 2023, finishing 33rd in his Toyota Camry alongside regular drivers Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.

One-time F1 podium finisher Kobayashi will drive the #67 machine at the upcoming Circuit of the Americas round - held on the full Austin F1 track.

The 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours winner is one of a host of former F1 drivers to try NASCAR in recent years, with World Champions Jenson Button and Kimi Raikkonen both taking part in the 2023 CoTA race.

23XI Racing was formed by NBA icon Jordan and Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin before the 2021 season, with Reddick the defending race winner at the Texas road course.
