Max Verstappen is not accustomed to being challenged for his race victories, but a late charge by Lando Norris meant he had to work hard to win the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
With 10 laps to go, the Dutchman looked to have a comfortable lead over the McLaren. However, Norris began to push, with the Red Bull driver seemingly without an answer to suddenly finding himself in the cross hairs.
Verstappen narrowly held on, but did so by less than a second. If the 63-lap race was any longer, the British driver may well have made it two wins from two.
Whilst the three-time drivers' champion winning is not unusual, taking victory by the smallest of margins is.
Since the introduction of the F1's contemporary ground-effect era in 2022, the 26-year-old has won 39 of a possible 51 grand prix - over 75 percent.
But, given the pace shown by Norris in the closing stages, and the pressure he was able to apply, it begs the question: was Verstappen's win at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix his greatest victory since the start of 2022?
