Fernando Alonso made his first visit to the Aston Martin F1 factory in Silverstone this week.
The Spaniard moves over from Alpine in 2023 to replace Sebastian Vettel, who retired at the end of last season.
Alonso spent the first day this week meeting the team, spending time in their simulator, and having a seat fit for the new car.
The team noticed an 'instant' impact of Alonso's arrival, after running him in the Abu Dhabi post-season test in the AMR22. The team has also been on a major recruitment drive, including poaching team members from Mercedes, Alfa Romeo and Red Bull.
They will be looking to change their fortunes in 2023 after a disappointing start to the 'new era' set of rules. Even though they matched their 7th place in the Constructors' Championship compared to 2021, they still scored less points and zero podiums.
