Frederic Vasseur has pledged that Ferrari will continue to upgrade its infrastructure facilities, despite already having class-leading equipment.
The Scuderia is hoping to mount a closer challenge to Red Bull in 2024 after slipping from second to third in the '23 Constructors' as the SF-23 could not match its predecessor from 2022.
Many F1 teams are investing in upgrading facilities including McLaren with a new simulator and heavily upgraded wind-tunnel, which Red Bull has also committed to with its facility in Bicester.
While the Ferrari boss feels his existing infrastructure is at a good level, he feels the team needs to continue to upgrade to shorten development times in the constant arms race.
Ferrari's improvement
"The level of infrastructure and the equipment is okay," Vasseur told media including RacingNews365.
"But it is an ongoing process where you have to do a better job everywhere, we have to improve the simulator, which is a good example.
"It is a no-end story where as soon as you are fixing something in the simulator, you have a new issue, and it will be like this for the next 30 years, and it is the same scenario for the wind-tunnel.
"You always want to improve the flow or the scales and just because the facility in Maranello and Fiorano is the top of the top, does not mean that it is the end of investment.
"We have to continue in terms of production a lot because what is key is the time to market and the fact that we have the capacity to produce quicker and do with better quality.
"And so we are in this loop, and will continue to invest, develop, but it is not just about the simulator or the wind-tunnel.
"If we want to make a step forward, then it is also production."
