Sergio Perez has earned a fifth and sixth season at Red Bull in 2025 and 2026 after the team re-signed him with a fresh contract.
The Mexican's place had been under doubt alongside Max Verstappen after bouts of poor form in 2023 and a dip across the Emilia Romagna and Monaco Grands Prix, where he scored just four points and failed to make Q3 both times.
But he had started the season strongly with four podium finishes in the first six races, with Red Bull keen for Perez to deliver podium results as it faces a renewed threat from McLaren and Ferrari.
Perez currently finds himself in fifth-place in the Drivers' standings on 107 points, with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz both passing him after Monaco, where he suffered a first-lap retirement after a big crash after being speared by Kevin Magnussen into the barrier.
