Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has claimed that Carlos Sainz has been made a three-year offer to join Audi from 2025.
Audi will join the Formula 1 grid in 2026, taking over the Sauber-run organisation that currently operates under the Stake name.
The German manufacturer has already made its first signing ahead of its arrival to the grid, confirming earlier this week that it has penned a deal with Haas' Nico Hulkenberg.
Sainz is currently on the hunt for a new seat with Lewis Hamilton replacing him at Ferrari next year.
According to Marko, Sainz has a multi-year offer from Audi on the table.
“Sainz is in great form at the moment,” Marko told OE24.
“I think he has a very good offer from Audi for three years, but he has to make a decision relatively soon.
“We, on the other hand, won’t be making a decision soon, we don’t let such things put us under pressure. But of course, we are sorting.”

Red Bull is also assessing who it will field in 2025 as Sergio Perez is out of contract at the end of the year.
Marko previously confirmed that Red Bull is talking with Sainz but asserted it can not match the offer presented to the Spaniard from Audi.
Sainz spent his first years in F1 within the Red Bull umbrella, driving for its junior Toro Rosso team.
When it was highlighted to Marko that Sainz already has a relationship with Red Bull, the Austrian replied: “Well, he was still very young back then.
“But in the meantime, he has developed really well and is showing incredible form.”
