Lawrence Stroll brands Aston Martin takeover rumours 'absolute bullsh*t'

Aston Martin have denied that they will be taken over by another company as the F1 team prepares for the start of the 2021 Formula 1 season.

Rumours that another automotive company are looking to take over Aston Martin have been quashed by the British manufacturer's team boss Lawrence Stroll. Chinese car company Geely have shown interest to become a stakeholder in Aston Martin despite the company recently being acquired by Lawrence Stroll in January 2020. "Lawrence Stroll described the rumour as 'absolute bullshit and totally untrue'," an Aston Martin Cognizant Formula 1 Team spokesman told RacingNews365.com. "He [Stroll] went on to say that he 'could not be more excited about, and sincerely believe in, the team's long-term future success'." The Aston Martin F1 team are targeting third place in the constructors' championship in 2021 with Lance Stroll and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel when the season begins in Bahrain on March 28.
