Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen continue to top F1's penalty point rankings after the Qatar Grand Prix sprint - where the latter picked up one penalty point.

Verstappen added a sixth point to his licence following qualifying for the main grand prix, after being adjudged to have driven unnecessarily slowly by the stewards in Q3 and blocking George Russell.

He was also stripped of his pole position, with a one-place grid penalty, promoting Russell to pole.

Alonso remains top of the list and closest to a ban on eight points, with his next set to be removed from his licence after the 2025 season-opener in Australia.

This list will next be updated after the 2024 F1 Qatar Grand Prix.

The full list of 2024 F1 driver penalty points and when they are next scrubbed from a driver's licence is available below.

The table also includes former F1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Logan Sargeant, who both have penalty points outstanding.
