The 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix will be an incredibly hot affair for the paddock, with scorching temperatures set to be present the entire weekend.

Round 13 of the ongoing F1 season sees the paddock descend on the Hungaroring, which has hosted a race annually since 1986.

The track, despite being short and narrow in places, has thrown up some exciting races in the past.

While drivers will have to focus on the job at hand in bringing home a successful result, their task will be made harder by the sweltering temperatures throughout the weekend.

2024 F1 Hungarian GP weather forecast

For some days now, summer weather has been prevalent in the region around the Hungaroring.

In Budapest, the temperatures have risen above 40°C, and the hot conditions will stick around for the race weekend.

During Friday practice and Saturday qualifying, it will be warm and tropical, with highs of 34°C and 32°C expected respectively.

On Sunday, however, the weekend temperature will peak - in the afternoon, it will rise to 35°C and a possibility exists that it will even seep into 36°C for the race.

With the temperature in the cockpit rising well above the air temperature during the race, fitness levels will be put to the test across the grid.

There is also a chance of heavy thunderstorms later in the evening, however it is uncertain whether these potential storms will hit the circuit.

If you plan to follow the race locally, take note of the high temperatures. Make sure you have adequate sun protection and stay well hydrated during the race.
