Jenson Button will bring the curtain down on his motorsport career this weekend at the season-ending 8 hours of Bahrain in the World Endurance Championship.

The 2009 F1 drivers' champion races for Cadillac Hertz Team Jota in the hypercar class, and has gained experience in various motorsport disciplines since his final F1 race in 2017, including winning the Super GT title the following year.

The British driver recently announced his retirement from motorsport, a decision he has arrived at due to wanting to spend more time with his family.

Ahead of the WEC campaign finale, Button shared that he would race with a tribute helmet for the final weekend of his career.

Based on his first crash helmet, the 45-year-old shared that his late father, John, designed it in black and yellow to "scare" his rivals.
