We know Mick Schumacher, of course, as a former Haas driver, son of Michael Schumacher and reserve driver for Mercedes. Meanwhile, the young driver has been on the sidelines for another year, but we still regularly spot him in the Mercedes garage during Grands Prix.

When his Formula 1 contract was terminated, the German started looking for other opportunities, he candidly tells us in an interview with Tuttomotoriweb: "Unfortunately there were no opportunities to drive, but I have always had a very good relationship with Mercedes and I am happy to be part of the program."

"Is nothing for me at the moment."

But, of course, there are other racing classes Schumacher could have his eye on. As the son of a seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, it's not super crazy that he's not eager to drive an electric car for the Formula E championship. So he frankly admits that he doesn't see the potential for driving in the electric racing class: "I'll be very honest with you and say no."

A possible move to Formula E is therefore something he almost completely rules out: "I love engines, I love the smell of gasoline. I like old-school cars, the V8, the smell, the flames, whatever. That's what interests me. So Formula E is nothing for me at the moment." Still, the Mercedes reserve driver does keep the door ajar: "Who knows what the future holds. Maybe I'll change my mind once I drive it."
