Yuki Tsunoda has highlighted his desire to continue collaborating with Honda this year.
Tsunoda will occupy a seat on the sidelines in 2026 after losing his full-time drive at Red Bull following a challenging campaign.
The Japanese driver will hold a reserve driver role at the Milton Keynes-based squad, offering support to Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar.
Honda, however, has struck up a technical partnership with Aston Martin as it officially returns to the sport as a power unit supplier.
Honda has played a major role in Tsunoda's career, assisting his junior career and path to F1 with Red Bull.
As Red Bull and Honda part ways, Tsunoda has thanked Honda for its long-term support throughout his career.
“I appreciate the support over the years,” Tsunoda told media including RacingNews365.
“We’ll see how it goes in the future, but I appreciate a lot, the amount of support is a lot, [from] a lot of people as well.”
Although Tsunoda and Honda are set to cooperate less this year, the former is eager to maintain a relationship with the Japanese manufacturer.
“Next year it's going to be a little bit in a different direction [that] we’re gonna take,” he said.
“But we’ll still be around, we'll see how we can collaborate [with] each other.”
