Max Verstappen received an "obligation to accomplish some work of public interest" by the FIA ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, for swearing during a press conference.

The Dutchman was judged to have been in breach of Article 12.2.1.k of the International Sporting Code.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem is keen for drivers to stop using foul language over the radio, with Verstappen's incident having occurred just hours after the FIA's demand.

Toto Wolff and Frederic Vasseur received formal warnings for using foul language during a press conference in Las Vegas last year, whilst the governing body has gone a step further with Verstappen.

However, after qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, where he ended second, Verstappen largely refused to answer questions in the official FIA Press Conference in extraordinary scenes.

The transcript of that can be found here.
