Vettel makes unusual career switch

Sebastian Vettel is set to undergo an unusual career switch, from motorsport to farming. 

According to reports, the four-time world champion will attend a vocational training centre in Switzerland, to begin studying again. 

Vettel and his family do live in Switzerland and own a farmhouse, with the German targeting to run his own farming business. 

He revealed his upcoming plans whilst in attendance at an awards ceremony in Braunschweig, Germany. 

"I'm doing a little training in agriculture," Vettel said, as reported by OE24. "If I pass, I would be suitable to run a business."

The former Red Bull driver was surpassed by Max Verstappen as the Milton Keynes-based team's most successful driver at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. 

Whilst Verstappen surpassed Vettel's 38 wins for Red Bull a long time ago, the German still had more drivers' titles for the team. 

However, Verstappen matched Vettel as a four-time world champion in Sin City, putting him clear of the 37-year-old with 62 wins as well. 

It was recently speculated that Vettel was attempting a return to motorsport, after testing for Porsche Penske's Hypercar programme at Aragon. 

Vettel will represent Team Germany at the Race of Champions in March alongside Mick Schumacher, although no further motorsport appearances have been announced.
