Max Verstappen has responded to Lewis Hamilton's criticism of his actions at the Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend.

Verstappen publicly scathed the Red Bull squad over the team radio as he was left disgruntled with the strategy he was placed on.

His series of radio outbursts came prior to making contact with Hamilton as the pair battled for third place.

Hamilton was questioned over Verstappen's antics at a time when Red Bull is coming under increased pressure from rival teams, stating a driver must act like a world champion to lead the team.

When asked how a world champion should act, Hamilton replied: “Not like it was last weekend.”

Hamilton's comment was put to Verstappen by Viaplay, with the three-time world champion brushing away the situation.

"You know what it is, everyone can have their opinion,” Verstappen said. “That's all fine, but I can't do anything with that.

“That's not my problem either. You don't have to dwell on it for very long either. It's all resolved and we'll just get on with it."

Much has been said of Verstappen's public disapproval of Red Bull's strategy, however the Dutchman outlined he has not listened to the aftermath from outside opinions.

When asked if it was a tactic of his, Verstappen replied: "For me it is, anyway.

“Everyone has their own opinion, of course, and they all just do their thing. I go home, I do my thing. It was nice to be in Monaco for a while, too."
