Charles Leclerc will start the 2024 F1 Monaco Grand Prix from pole position, marking the third time he has started his home race from the perfect spot.
The Monegasque is searching for his first victory at the Circuit de Monaco, whilst Oscar Piastri alongside him on the front row is targeting a maiden F1 win.
With the Monaco GP traditionally being a precession due to the size of the current cars, the pit stops are the best chance to make any positions.
So how could the strategies play out during the race?

Possible strategies
As is usually the case at Monaco, a one-stop strategy is expected by Pirelli, however, a safety car which is not uncommon in this event could spice things up.
Pirelli has outlined three possible strategies, all of which consist of only one-stop during the 78-lap race.
The first of which would be for the drivers to start on the medium compound before pitting on lap 24 to 34 for a set of hard tyres.
Another option is to start on the hard C3 compound and to complete a pit-stop for a set of C4 yellow-walled medium tyres between laps 47 and 57.
The final one-stop option Pirelli has outlined is to start on the C5 soft tyre and pit early around laps 17 to 27 for a set of hards.
With most drivers not having a fresh set of soft tyres, this option is unlikely to feature towards the front.
