The bib damper preload variation system placed above the T-Tray allows for controlled flexing and is characterized by a lever that acts on the damper preload ring.

This modifies its calibration which, from the information RacingNews365 has gathered in the paddock in Austin is based on two different positions.

In practice, the 'soft' setting allows the reduction of the ride height of the floor, with the 'hard' setting permitting a greater ride height, with this 'bending' of the T-tray in theory responding to the different requirements for qualifying and the race, with the car significantly heavier in races due to the higher fuel load.

In addition, the slight increase in weight characterised by the system should not be underestimated, especially when compared to the 'standard' solution adopted by the other teams.
