Sergio Perez has called for Red Bull to keep changes to next season's machinery at a minimum across the year following a nightmare run of form.

The Mexican had begun the campaign in fine fashion with two victories in the first four Grands Prix, as well as the Azerbaijan Sprint.

That led to talk of an intra-Red Bull battle for the Drivers' title, with Max Verstappen having won the previous two championships.

But the Dutchman's drive from ninth on the grid to victory at the Miami Grand Prix triggered a disastrous run of form for Perez which including a streak from Monaco to Hungary without a Q3 appearance despite the RB19's dominance over its rivals.

Perez has struggled across the past three races, scoring a single point between the Singapore, Japanese and Qatar Grands Prix.

No upgrades?

Asked what he needed from Red Bull next season as pressure continues to grow, Perez told Sky Sports: "I think a more consistent base throughout the season and having a car that doesn't change so much throughout the year.

"That also contributes to being more consistent - I think that will be the key because that was what happened in the first few races."

"I think when we started developing the car, I felt that the car was drifting away from me.

"I had to keep finding the balance, making compromises here and there. We keep the further details internal to the team.

"It's something we are all aware of and hopefully next year it can be a different story."
