McLaren Racing has announced a partnership with a telecommunications giant for the United States-based F1 races still to run in 2024 and beyond.
T-Mobile will become an official partner of the Woking squad for the United States Grand Prix in Austin and the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Specifically, T-Mobile will be the exclusive 5G partner of the team when it races in the US.
The deal "paves the way for McLaren Racing to leverage T-Mobile’s 5G to enhance race day operations, deliver best in class connectivity for hosted guests, and unlock immersive new fan experiences at U.S. races."
The papaya cars will feature T-Mobile branding for the remaining stateside races in 2024 and in future years.
Speaking about the partnership, McLaren Racing's co-chief commercial officer, Matt Dennington said: "We are delighted to welcome T-Mobile to the McLaren Racing family.
"As our U.S. fan base continues to grow, it is great to be able to work with more partners that will help us increase our presence and ability to activate with our fans in these regions.”
