Kevin Magnussen news

Kevin Magnussen returned to the grid in 2023 and drove for the Haas Formula 1 team, alongside Nico Hulkenberg. In that season, he scored three points for the team, while his teammate earned nine points. This resulted in the American Formula 1 team finishing in last place in the Constructors' Championship. Also, in 2024, both drivers will race for Haas.

Magnussen F1

Magnussen made his F1 debut at McLaren in 2014 and immediately made a tremendously strong impression. Indeed, he finished second in his debut race! But unfortunately that was where it ended for the Dane. Towards the end of the year, there was no place left for Magnussen as Fernando Alonso joined the team. In 2015, he therefore had to watch the races from the sidelines and McLaren also ended its partnership with the Dane.

In 2016, however, Magnussen reappeared on the F1 grid with Renault's team, but he was not given much of a chance to impress as the car was not competitive enough. Magnussen then signed a three-year contract with Haas in 2017. The American racetrack failed to build a good car and ran out of money. Both Romain Grosjean and Magnussen were sidelined for Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin in 2021.
 

Return to Haas

Magnussen did, rather unexpectedly, return to Formula 1 in 2022. The American racing stable sidelined Mazepin during test days, so a seat had to be filled quickly. The choice fell on Magnussen, who immediately scored a point in his first race.

In 2023, Magnussen also drove for Haas, but not with Mick Schumacher by his side. Nico Hulkenberg is his new teammate in 2023. The two once again raced for the American Formula 1 team in the 2024 season.

It was announced that Magnussen would no longer be racing in Formula 1 in 2025. After 10 years in the pinnacle of motorsport, the Dane is moving on to the IMSA and WEC championships with BMW in 2025.
