Lewis Hamilton has warned the FIA that the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) will “chase them up” if it receives no response to its public statement.

The GPDA released a declaration earlier this month in which it outlined various issues of concern.

This included a renewed call for transparency over where the money from driver and team fines end up, as well as a request to FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem to consider his “tone and language”.

George Russell revealed that the governing body has not yet reached out to the GPDA regarding the statement.

Hamilton has asserted the drivers will not sit silent on its appeal if it hears no response from the FIA.

“If we don't get a response, I'm sure we'll chase them up,” Hamilton told media including RacingNews365.

“I know they've got a lot going on at the moment, but I think it's just to show that more than ever, the drivers are united, which is perhaps not something you've always seen in the past.”

Hamilton added the drivers simply wish to have a closer working relationship with the FIA.

“There are some things that need addressing, and FIA needs to be better at working and collaborating with us,” he said.

“We want the sport to continue to thrive and be better.

“We have zero to gain with the comments that we're making in terms of things that can be better through the race weekends, and all we're asking is to communicate with us more and include us.”
