Lewis Hamilton insists he will "not hold anything back" from aiding Mercedes' development in his final races with the team.
Hamilton is preparing to depart Mercedes after 12 seasons, with just three races remaining before his switch to Ferrari.
The seven-time champion ended his long win drought at the British GP earlier in the season and added an 84th win in Belgium, but the Briton is struggling with the W15 machine, with the car prone to wild performance swings depending on track and air temperature and in ride height changes.
Despite the fact he will never drive the 2025 W16 car, Hamilton is firm that he will continue to eke out data to assist the team in trying to improve its package for next season.
"I wouldn't say that it feels odd," Hamilton explained to media including RacingNews365 when asked if gathering data for a 2025 car he will never drive felt odd.
"Ultimately, every bit of input that I put in now, along with George's, is contributing to development forwards, that is the job, that is what I'm paid for.
"I am not holding anything back from any of our sessions, this is a team that I've been successful with for many, many years and I want the team to continue to have success.
"That is just how I am wired, that is how I am, but maybe other people would do it differently."
