Jenson Button has confirmed that he will be making a return to motor racing after accepting a race seat over in the United States.

The 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button will return to motor racing after accepting a drive with Rick Ware Racing over in the United States. The NASCAR Cup Series team, who are partnered with Stewart-Haas Racing, will field Button for three events in the 2023 season. Driving the #15 Ford Mustang, Button will take part in three road course events: Circuit of the Americas, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Chicago Street Course. Since retiring from Formula 1 at the end of the 2016 season, Button competed in the Japanese GT championship for two seasons, and took part in half of the 2018-2019 World Endurance Championship, competing at Le Mans for the first time.
