F1 legend Emerson Fittipaldi believes it will be a "big challenge" for Lewis Hamilton working underneath Frederic Vasseur again.

Whilst racing for the Maranello-based team offers Hamilton something very different, there are some familiar figures for him at Ferrari

The main one is Vasseur, who worked with the seven-time world champion during his junior career.

In 2005, Hamilton won the F3 Euro Series and F3 Masters titles with ASM, a team who Vasseur founded.

A year later, the 39-year-old claimed the GP2 title racing for ART Grand Prix, another team which Vasseur was involved in the founding of.

It has been two decades since the duo first worked together, marking a fitting time for their reunion.

Having Vasseur does give Hamilton an immediate figure for support, although Fittipaldi is expecting it to be a challenge for the duo to work together again.

"I'm sure Lewis will be motivated with the challenge to have a new team like Ferrari," Fittipaldi told Talksport

"Every driver has the dream to drive for Ferrari, and I think at the stage of his life to be able to go to Ferrari, with Frederic Vasseur, who was his team boss in F3 and F2, the family is getting back together again, and that's going to be a big challenge.

"I'm looking forward to see next season. Should be very exciting for Lewis, and F1 is getting extremely competitive."
