F1 has shut down suggestions that Stefano Domenicali is set to depart his role as CEO and take on a leading position within MotoGP.
Reports recently emerged online that declared Domenicali would take on the CEO role in MotoGP, the leading motorcycle racing series.
The possible move was highlighted by veteran commentator Jack Plooij of Dutch broadcaster Ziggo Sport.
However, F1 has asserted that an exit for Domenicali in favour of MotoGP is not on the cards.
MotoGP was acquired earlier this year by Liberty Media who has owned the commercial rights for F1 since 2017.
Domenicali, who has vast experience working in F1 as a team manager, rose to the post of F1 CEO in 2021 when he took over from Chase Carey.
He previously worked with Ferrari and held the team principal role at the squad from 2008 to 2014.
Domenicali has overseen the sport amid a period of great interest and has penned various deals with new venues, including Las Vegas, Qatar and Madrid.
