Bahrain Grand Prix 2023

F1 2023 championship standings after the Bahrain Grand Prix

How are the F1 championship standings looking after the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix.

As he has done since the Spanish Grand Prix last year, Max Verstappen sits on top of the Formula 1 championship standings after the 2023 season-opener in Bahrain.

It was a crushing performance on race day for the World Champion, who eased to a 36th career win ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin. It was not a maximum haul for Verstappen as he did not claim fastest lap, but his status as 'man to beat' is firmly cemented.

Below are standings for both the Drivers' and Constructors' championships after the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix.
