Charles Leclerc has been called before the stewards at the Las Vegas Grand Prix for allegedly not replacing his steering wheel or turning off ERS after coming to a halt on track during FP2.
The Ferrari driver suffered a gearbox issue soon after the second practice session in Sin City was resumed, following a red flag for a loose manhole cover.
With his SF-25 immediately unable to get up to speed, the eight-time grand prix winner pulled to one side and behind barriers.
There was a second, subsequent and unrelated red flag, which was due to the continuance of the manhole cover issue.
However, it did mean that Leclerc did not miss any vital track action in the closing stages of the second hour of running in Nevada.
The official stewards document confirmed and: "Alleged breach of Article 26.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations – driver did not replace the steering wheel and turn off the ERS".
After topping FP1, the Monegasque driver was ultimately third-fastest in FP2.
The 28-year-old will report to the stewards at 22:00 local time.
